Do we count on you?

Last Monday, when confinement had just begun, I received a wp from my friend Ezequiel Sebastian Beltran, soul, heart and life of TargetDrone.

«Oye querida, estos días, como vamos a tener tiempo, había pensado editarte algún vídeo con las fotos que quieras de la nueva temporada», rezaba su mensaje.

One that is sensitive and easy to tear, imagine. When you are scared to death for the health of your elders and the people you love, when your heart is broken by the vicissitudes of life, when you close your business with the uncertainty of the next opening and survival, when you see yourself caged like a bird and when the projects you had in the short term disappear like the morning fog when the sun begins to heat up. At that precise moment, that message reaches you.

And suddenly you laugh and start scheming. You think that, despite everything, this nightmare that we are all living has its beautiful side. Friends who appreciate you and think about how they can use their time to help you. This winter I visited Nativity Scene Museum in Mollina, In Malaga. One of the scenes reproduced a street in a country at war, where everything was ruined, gray, sad and decaying, and yet, in a corner, the light of a bonfire illuminated a small Nativity scene that three children were contemplating, enthralled. It was a moving scene. The light in the darkness.

This is how I feel about Eze's offer now. And the maintenance classes that another friend gave us, Iraima Fernández Nutrition, every morning on Facebook at 12:30. Or the recipes that Puri Mendez Go up to your wall so that we can all cook delicious and healthy food during the confinement and not become like bowling alleys. Or the beautiful texts with which Cesar Inclan It makes us travel through time and emotions. Or the pills about quarantine, some with humor, like those of my professional teacher in the journalistic career, Francisco Garcia and others with a heavy heart, those of another girl from the press, Idoya Rey. Or the crab that my friend Jorge, who is the best fishmonger in the city, brought me to the door, with a mask and gloves, to celebrate my birthday.

Therefore, I shook off my sorrows and worries and got to it. To find that light in the darkness. Eze suggested that I leave the photos for later and make a home video about our confinement, about how to face it and what to do these days at home. I took my phone, a small tripod that I bought one day in a Chinese store and I spent this entire week recording shots. I won't tell you more than if you don't see the video. It's cool and Eze, in addition to being exceptional, is a magician. The last part, in which I appear in the image and dedicate a few words to you, cost me a kidney. How difficult it is to speak in front of a camera! Oh well! There you have it. Who said fear? Also, after I grow old, I become a piper, as the saying goes. At this point, neither shame nor childish modesty.

This spring, we #nosstayhome. It is what you take, what you touch, our obligation and our way of fighting the bug. But, when we can return to our routine, the small stores, the neighborhood stores, we will need you. Do we count on you?
